A message from Coach Brittany Basye:

Hello and thank you for following out Bobcat golf blog throughout our Spring Season.

We finished on a great note with Paige winning the Big Sky Title in red numbers fashion with outstanding golf, setting Big Sky records and our team shooting low round for season and best ever at a Big Sky Conference! Go Cats!!

Everyone has worked hard and I am proud of them all. I know the returners will work hard all summer and come August be ready to go! Thanks again for supporting us,  we look forward to next season! Stay tuned!

This is an exciting time for the Bobcats! Paige Crawford has won the Conference Championship at Ocotillo Golf Course in Chandler, Arizona! With a steady three days of exceptionally low scores, she has snagged first place at the most important tournament of the year. Her hard work and dedication have finally paid off in her junior year at Montana State University and we could not be prouder of her.

Way to go Paige! You have brought so much pride to the Bobcat Nation and we are all so excited for you.

Hey Bobcat fans! Our Lady Bobcats are currently down in Chandler, Arizona competing at Ocotillo once again. Day One of the tournament, which started yesterday, was especially difficult due to the girls battling high winds.

A message from Coach Brittany Basye:
Team shot 326 and the winds were outrageous! Molly's 77 was very good for the conditions and Paige and Kelly held strong with their scores as well. Knock down shots are a must in these windy conditions. We need to hold our ground for the next two rounds.

After the grueling first round, the girls were able to relax and take in a Diamondbacks baseball game in downtown Phoenix.

A message from Coach Brittany Basye:
Paige had a great round and got some birdies to drop. Molly and Kelly held tight and now we need our 4/5 spot scores to drop a few strokes. Conditions were good today, just slightly overcast. Looking forward to teeing it up again tomorrow!

 

Spring is here! Just hearing the snow melting off the rooftops makes me excited that soon we will be able to golf outside on a regular basis. Can't wait for the weather to warm up even more!

First day of outside practice at Cottonwood! It was a little chilly but it was great to practice outside! Coach set up targets for us to pitch to, we hit some balls, and we practiced short putts.

Accenture Matchplay in Arizona

 

 

I'm sure most of you golfers have seen or at least heard about the crazy weather that has been happening in Arizona the last couple days! But if you haven't heard AZ got snow yesterday and the Accenture Matchplay tournament, near Tucson, was cancelled. It is kind of interesting to us, that these pros are seeing how it is to be a golfer in Montana. I remember in a high school golf tournament in Missoula, the greens keepers were using snow blowers to clear off the greens and they had to shovel off areas on each tee box, so that we could tee off! Burrr! Plus it took a tee per hole, due to the frozen ground. I wonder if they make the Pro V1 in orange.... Of course we wish them all the best, and if they need warm weather gear, we all have our bags stuffed full.

Preparation - Continued

 

Hi there BOBCAT golf fans….the team has been working hard inside our facility and getting ready to head south to Sedona, Arizona next week. We are playing Oak Creek Country Club, and looking forward to getting back to green grass. Our practice this week is playing/remembering Oak Creek, we are preparing mentally and hitting the shots we will be hitting on the course. We will play the course at least 5 times before we take of next Thursday. When I say play the course we "play the course" at our indoor facility with our yardage books from Oak Creek. We hit our drives, second shot and then chip and putt. Its a great way to get our minds focused for Oak Creek….thanks for following!! GO CATS

Spring Season Begins!

At 12:29pm today we arrived in Arizona to play our first tournament of the season! It's a beautiful day and we are headed to Chandler, Arizona where we will compete in a tournament hosted by Northern Arizona University at Ocotillo Golf Course.

The traveling team for this trip includes: Molly Dorans, Paige Crawford, Kati Greear, Pamela Calderon-Rojas, and Kelly O'Brien.

Bobcats Give Back!

Last Friday night, we lady golfers volunteered to help out at the Morningstar Elementary School Carnival. It was a fun night! We spent a few hours spread out around the school helping with activities, prizes, and playing with all the kids that came through!

Being a Bobcat means giving back to the Bozeman community that continues to support us year after year. We are so lucky to be surrounded by amazing fans and the support of this wonderful town.
